about

small systems, real work

subintern is an ai lab building practical agents, workflow tools, and research prototypes for useful autonomy.

we care about agents that can actually help: systems that understand a task, work within clear boundaries, show their reasoning through evidence, and hand control back when the work becomes uncertain or risky.

our focus is intentionally narrow. instead of chasing broad demos, we build small, capable systems around real workflows: development, research, memory, evaluation, and operational tooling.

the long-term goal is simple: make ai feel less like a chatbot and more like a dependable teammate that can be inspected, corrected, and trusted over time.
